Tal Goettling
Originally from the Gig Harbor area, Tal has been singing and playing guitar since he was 8 years old. He began writing songs in his early teens and eventually started performing his original songs at open mics, subsequently falling in love with the experience. He moved to Seattle in 1987 and his powerful and unique voice quickly landed him a spot as the front man for Son of Man - a band that was an integral part of the Seattle music scene before “Grunge” blew up. Sharing the bill with greats such as Mother Lovebone and Alice in Chains, Tal continued to grow as an artist and embed himself into the Seattle music community. He's fronted Purple Decade, Powderfinger, Willy and the Laborers, God King Idiot, and most recently See by Sound.
In Thirteen Finches he draws on all of his collective experience to further expand his first love of guitar playing and writing songs.
